Catapulting to fame in 1997 with the Femina Look of the Year title, Nethra has been part of numerous mainstream Fashion Weeks and shows in India and is considered a complete supermodel by industry experts. She’s had successful advertising campaigns, appearances in films and television, while bagging awards on the way!

I’ve always found Nethra photogenic and incredibly stunning. Well, not every model makes it to the cover page of fashion magazines.

So how does Nethra Raghuraman manage to look so well-toned all the time?
Nethra believes in the simple things – eating less and taking the stairs each time. Her secret also lies in a low carb diet plan (boiled vegetables or chicken replace rice and rotis) with all three meals and an early dinner. Desserts and an excessive oil are an absolute no-no! Nethra likes to vary her workouts to keep things interesting while at the gym. She follows different cardio plans each time and maintains an active lifestyle. Having good skin is more an outcome of inner health than creams or lotions, she says. Hence Nethra focuses on eating right and staying hydrated, with lots of water.

When it comes to Nethra Raghuraman’s personal style, finding mid-ground is what its all about. Here’s what she has to say about it-

“I dress in what I feel the most comfortable, as it makes a huge difference to how I look. Even if you are wearing something that’s not a fashion statement, if you can carry it off, that is all that matters. Also, I think minimal is in and it has always has been, so don’t go overboard with anything.”

In her casual ensemble, Nethra reflects everything that’s urban! She’s been spotted in denims – be it a smart pair of slim jeans or a denim skirt.
